ManOfMillions
Lexington is much improved, and Milan is much improved...I have the game as a toss up. Home field advantage included I will say the tigers in a close one. This will NOT be a blow out from either team.

The dawg defense will be ready for the Lexington run game. Will Lexington be ready for the new look Milan offense? I agree with you 100% it will be a good game between 2 good teams. @38320
I've seen Lexington on the field early in the season each of the past ten years, and this is possibly the best team they have had early on.

Some years Milan gets better as the year goes on and some they are just unstoppable at any time. The offense has some sharpening up, but they have speed all over the field. Defense is really good too. We were lucky that the offense slowed down in the second half against us. Should be a good one.
Golddoctor
Milan will improve in each game. It will be speed against brawn. I think Milan has had the tougher schedule. I know they have both beaten S. Gibson but Bolivar is no Peabody. Milan 27-21 Edited September 6, 2020 by Golddoctor

TryNotToSuck
Milan is good, but I do believe that Lexington is a tick better. Tigers need to throw the ball downfield and not be 1-D offense like we've seen in years past. If they do that, they'll win convincingly. Neither team will score in the 30's though. Lexington 27-
DutchMantel
I’ve got no skin in this game and wish the best to both teams. Milan is in the way back up and will be a tough out for anyone, but I give the slight edge to Lexington in this game. Lexington is going to turn a lot of heads this year imho. I’ve got them picked to win their region. If this game was played later in the year I’d pick Milan, but with the coaching change and covid delays I still think they’re working things out. BIGPURPLEMACHINE
Ok I’m going to throw this out there so someone try and change my mind. Milan beat Lexington last year 21-15. Lexington brings back the house with an experienced coaching staff. Same team we beat last year with a dud for a head coach. We bring back the house from a team that beat Lexington and have added some key transfers that showed out against South Gibson (ask Manof Millions). Plus we got a HUGE upgrade in coaching and got Morris back as an assistant who will be more than familiar with Lexington. Lexington will not be prepared for the new look Milan offense. We put up 35 last week against the defending region champ. Someone please tell me why Milan would be an underdog in this game?? And for the record I’m not saying they aren’t. I’m just saying this stuff to spark conversation.

We were trying to get a more pass friendly last year that killed a ton of drives for us. This year we are back to basics, we run the ball hard and fast. We finish drives and have a QB who is a pure athlete with high football IQ, when a play breaks down he can still make things happen. I was worried about our speed this year but that was before I saw multiple guys out run Liberty last week and our defense shut down their speed. I do think once Liberty gets it together this year they will surprise some folks. I do recognize that Milan did pick up some of Liberty's best players players from last year's team but we were able to shut them down last year at Liberty as well. (36-7). Lexington's best spot is still their lineman. These dudes are big, strong, and athletic. They set the tone for both our offense and defense. And last is our special teams, have you seen our kicker? I heard a lot of the hype before the season but this dude delivers. He kicks a mile and then some. I think it will be a good game but I think Lexington will win this one.

And yes I have seen the kicker. Kid will be kicking in college. Definitely legit. I honestly feel this game will be within a touchdown like last year and could go either way.

Liberty's best athletes walk the halls....not willing to do the work required to be successful...ZERO parental/fan support....not a community school...bus kids in from all over thus no community identity...sad...and just a few years ago they were the state champ game vs Alcoa community college and gave them a run for their money...but that coach saw it coming and bolted after that season....sad situation...
