I would not be willing to bet on a 2 touchdown win. These teams are too similar in terms of speed and physicality. It will be a tight game IMO. If Covington is somehow able to win by 14+, I will be very impressed and looking to challenge for that gold ball. Diffee worries me! I just feel like his coaching abilities are even better than many think.

I am super impressed with Diffee so far. The game preparation great as he is very detailed and meticulous. However the most impressive thing about him is the in game coaching that has been going on. When the offense is on the field the defense is on the sideline going over things that are happening in the game and same when the defense is on the field. He is not just coaching but teaching and the level of play is showing the rewards of all he is doing.

Sonny Moore is smoking those left handed cigarettes again.

Yeah I think the sonny Moore ratings are very flawed at this point. For example, he has Milan ahead of Trenton even though Trenton has already soundly beat us this year.  Maybe it will work itself out in a few more weeks.

Ya'll got yourselves a good one for sure. It's not a simple task to take a team (North Panola) from winning 1 or 2 games a year and as soon as he took over 3 consecutive 10+ win seasons and deep runs in the playoffs. He developed close connections with Ole Miss and Hugh Freeze to get his kids recognition at the college level and he is a relentless booster pursuer. I believe he will have talent from all over yall's area transferring in to Milan. The future is bright there. As much as I hate to admit, the road will not get easier for my Chargers.

Game will come down to which team has the least turnovers in my opinion!! Two very evenly matched teams.

This is true for most games that have close competition. I hate having to pick game like this because we do not play they games.... The boys on the field play it.

If either teams go 2 + or minus in the turnover margin they are going to win/lose. FACT!

One point that I have not seen mentioned yet is former coach Jeff Morris is still on this staff. Jeff is a legend in my book. There will be something named after him at some point in Milan. A lot of folks do not realize that he rejoined the coaching staff last year the week before Milan played Covington. They held Covington's offense to 0 points total. Jeff knows how to stop their offense and his influence in this contest is going to be huge.

With the above being stated, I will say this. We thought the exact same thing last year and they came out playing a COMPLETELY different offense. It did not work for them, but that is what they did.

It should be a great game! I will be following it closely.

This game is primed for a good one!

I hope it is a clean, injury free game for both sides.

When does Milan tickets go on sale?

Milan does the same thing every week. They sell to the parents of players, cheerleaders and band members first.  Then whatever is left they sell Thursday morning at the school starting at 8:30AM. Band doesn’t go to away games so that will free up some but we only got 250. Double the high school Facebook page for info.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
