I was talking about all the boards, not just that thread. Thanks again.

I think Volunteer wins this one, probably by a couple of scores.  No disrespect intended for Hampton.  The Falcons are a much improved ballclub this year and if they had held on vs. Morristown East last Friday night, then they would be a playoff team and McMillan would've gotten my coach of the year nod as a playoff season in Church Hill does not come around very often.  Should be a fun ballgame nevertheless.

I’ve see both teams play.

Volunteer has improved somewhat, but still a ways to go.  They put up 43 on MoE, but MoE’s defense isn’t world beaters either.  Volunteer’s offense is a little more balanced and that could make a difference in this game? However though, Hampton has a great Qb that can run and throw and they have the line that can provide the protection.  If Hampton comes out more balanced, and gets their TE more involved they’ll score.  Hampton needs to get more pass rush on the Qb and contain the outsides.

It’s a tough game to pick, but I am going with the Dogs.  We’ve seen or heard what the last blue team did to the orange this past week.

Hampton - 22

Still gonna be down our MLBR in this one. Hurt us against SG's QB and we'll miss him this week too. We'll likely be short a starting TE/DE also (went out in the SG game)...I expect we'll make a few changes and straighten a couple things out for Friday night.

Uphill battle I'm thinking, think they are better than what most people think. We'd have our hands full at FULL strength.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
