Blackman, Oakland, and Cookeville all in the top 5 biggest i believe. Like i said it's a rare occasion when Cookeville plays someone bigger. Since 83 when we went AAA we've been almost always the smallest school. Just saying. Luckily it didn't hamper our success much.

Cookeville is #8 to be exact!  They played those 3 teams this season.  I don’t think that’s rarely.

Cookeville has around 2200.  That is a big difference.  You all are closer to Upperman’s size.

We used to be around 1100 and then the last year  before covid we were hovering between 1000-1100. This year a lot of parents opted to pull their kids and homeschool.

Out of all the people that work there, they only had ONE person placed at the ticket gate to sell tickets and check temps (only ONE).  The line was 50 ppl deep. The guy at the score table may have been reading what was written down, but who was the person that wrote it down?  He was corrected by coach Buck and he basically said "screw you".  The girl's assistant coach started arguing with some parents during coach Buck's exchange with the announcer.   It was an act of Congress to get some ice for our players after the game.  CHS student section asking Stone kids to go outside to fight.  As soon as the game was over, the AC came on to start cooling the gym.

Last night, Cookeville got out played, out coached & out classed by STONE MEMORIAL.

There is a reason CHS was voted least respected school in 6AAA.

Didn’t hurt that the refs were calling it for Stone either!

And yet someone on here always complains about Sparta's schedule. Lol. Cookeville ALWAYS plays schools that are smaller. When is the last time Cookeville played a school bigger than themselves? I'll wait. Pot meet kettle!

Lol exactly, the a cookeville fan talking about competition is rich.

tell ya what.... why dont you make out Cookeville's schedule.  Go ahead, write down who it is you would like us to play.  I'll pass it along.   I'm just here to help!  Lets make everyone happy in this thread!!

I'll personally bring fans the next time we play stone memorial and i'll make sure we have mystery machines and ice at the ready.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
