The game is on as scheduled as of now for 7:00 at Beene Stadium. Also on the contact tracing. There is not a state wide rule that says the entire team has to quarantine. Contact tracing doesn’t necessarily get the entire team. Some teams around the state have routinely played games this year with 7,8,9,10 kids out and quarantined that week. Yes, some schools have just shut down the whole team because too many of their players would have been out. One coach I spoke with was going to have 14 kids out from his 32 man roster so they choose to shut it down for that reason.

Exactly.

09 you are spot on - we have played the last two weeks down ~ 10 players (off a 38 man roster - not counting injuries). Only one of them ever tested positive, which set off a 2nd round of quarantine. The positive, never presented a symptom. We took a COVID loss earlier in the season because we had quarantines and hit the panic button (hindsight we should have played).

Pirates can pick the score on this one. Basin has a few good players but they haven't seen anyone as talented as the Pirates. I really figured the Cougars would dodge this beat down if they could, especially since it has no effect on the playoffs.

The winner of this game is 1st in region 3, the loser 2nd, so it does effect the playoffs.

I think we all know who the winner will probably be in this game. Even if the game isn't played, it will still be the same outcome. There is nothing I would rather see than CB win this game but I just don't see that happening right now. I have been wrong before though.

From looking at preseason stuff I figured you would be much improved this year. I saw some highlights. You have some nice looking athletes.

We do have a good group of athletes. I think they will be fine and get it figured out. Due to the injuries and having to move players around everywhere, I think they just need some time to settle into those positions and the confidence that comes with time and a win.

Is your starting QB the only one that suffered a season ending injury.  I read where you guys lost a few but wasnt sure.

Our backup QB is also out as QB but might still be able to play in other areas. We've had some other starters out but hope we will get them back before the year is over. Haven't got to talk to anyone the past week due to all this Covid crap. I had hopes of a great region championship game with y'all at the end of the season and we may still get to.

It’s time to get it figured out. This is week 10. The playoffs start next week.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
