I would agree that if your coach is able to elevate his teams play by using comments like that, it becomes a calculated risk for our team.  But I also know he recognized what Christian was doing.  Not his first rodeo, commonly used at every level of football.  Once players are out of listening range, if pressed  for comments you’ll hear the truth.  I absolutely agree with the comments about your coaches.

LOL. You have a great team that plays exceptionally well together. Yes, you are still the favorite to win it all, but at this point DJ Burks is the only D1 talent on Maryville’s roster. Not saying other kids won’t develop into that type of player with time.
