Everybody in west playing for silver and everybody in east playing to get to Alcoa.  It is sad, but this is the most boring class in the state.

I will never be scared for my Covington Chargers to play them. We have been beat before, and probably will be in the future, but it's not in our coaches or players to be afraid of Alcoa or any other team.

Bring it and quit talking about it! The F5 would love another game with Covington! Alcoa has 9 games.....make the call and play in the regular season. Do it! Ha!:thumb:

Covington has a full schedule, but I hear Betsy doesn't.  How about it?  Y'all could play at Neyland Stadium.  A lot of people would like to see it.

I'm in no position to schedule games for Haywood.  However, I have never made any claims that Haywood could hang with Alcoa.  I know we don't have a team of that caliber.  I'm sure it would be an embarrassing defeat.  Even if it did happen, would Alcoa be willing to travel to Brownsville two years in a row?  Haywood had to beg the community for donations just to make the trip to Cookeville back in December.

Agreed. I like the attitude. 

I guess some people just suffer from little man syndrome or something. Finally, they have a connection to something that is good and they must tell everyone at every possible moment how good they are. We should offer a shiny little badge or something. Perhaps, we could go back to when they were a child and not let them get their lunch money taken from them on the playground.

I suspect that some of these posts originate from mom and dad's basement. I detect a certain immaturity in their content.

I detect a certain immaturity in facing the truth! MoM got butt hurt from me saying that Covington would get hammer by Alcoa in 2019 and 2020. Alcoa beat Pearl Cohn 27-0, a team that beat Covington, and Milan 35-0, another team that beat Covington. If you sissies can not stand the truth and want everything candy coated, then maybe you panty wearing cry babies need to get off a football message board! :lol:

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
