Step 1 TSSAA.org

Step 2 Sport

Step 3 Girls Basketball

Step 4 2021 Basketball Division 1 State Tournament Guidelines

It is the First item listed (BRACKETS)

Also RebelBoy121: Posts step by step directions

bahahaha!

I think people know where the brackets are at now, they were objecting to the lack of notice. I don't honestly think it matters either way. I don't distrust the TSSAA as much as everyone else seems to. Not sure what they have to gain by stacking the deck.

Not as much about distrusting the TSSAA as it is about surprising teams and coaches and the public knowing before they do. It is a distraction to coaches. Could have been avoided. And people look forward to seeing the draws. Nobody digs into TSSAA.org. Why not release the info to the press and take 2 minutes or so to notify the brackets would be released on such and such date. Wouldn’t be hard.

Could be a couple things:

A.) Somebody screwed up and posted the document before they were supposed to.

B.) They didn't think it was that big of a deal to just go ahead and post it.

C.) They tried to just slip it out before people could complain and ask for an open draw.

D.) It's the TSSAA. Are we really trying to use logic here?

Not sure how much of a distraction it really is, especially to the coaches that are still in it. They have enough on their plate as it is. Most coaches are just concerned about getting to Murfreesboro at this point, not who they'll play when they get there.

Coaches are game planning for substate games and they get text all day about it because knowing it is out of the norm and people want to know the validity of it. Yeah it is a distraction because players parents are texting them and fans. They don’t ignore the texts.

Why not have a east/west bracket that looks similar to this? Top two teams from each region into a Sweet 16 Tournament.

Region 1 (1)                                                                                                                              Region 5 (1)

Region 2 (2)                                                                                                                              Region 6 (2)

Region 2 (1)                                                                                                                              Region 6 (1)

Region 1 (2)                                                                                                                              Region 5 (2)

Region 3 (1)                                                                                                                            Region 7 (1)

Region 4 (2)                                                                                                                            Region 8 (2)

Region 4 (1)                                                                                                                           Region 8 (1)

Region 3 (2)                                                                                                                           Region 7 (2)

It’s on there now, yes. Ain’t no article that I can find.... if you’re talking about the brackets those were released yesterday. Before that there was nothing on them or articles. I check everyday and NEVER saw anything.

Ahh, we get to the root of it: parents are a distraction. Now that I can wholeheartedly agree with :P

No parents aren’t a distraction. They just want to know the validity of brackets they seen posted that you had to dig to find out about. TSSAA is an organization and communication to your schools is part of it. They didn’t communicate at all.

If it was really a “blind” draw....

Peabody/MAHS was drawn first, automatically putting GC on the other side top side.

Then drew Huntland/Clay County second, which should have automatically put clarkrange/Fayetteville on the other side top side with GC. Correct?

It wasn’t blind IMO

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
