Shooting at Austin-East...very SAD!

I am shocked another high school has experienced a mass shooting. After all, we did nothing about mass shootings in the past. Doing nothing will have to  pay off sometime.

Blessed are the victims.

You can’t control all guns, nor can we control all people and we especially can’t control all people with guns... people have to come to the realization, unfortunately, that this is a commonality here in the US. We act shocked every time.... there no plausible solution to conquer this problem. If there was one it would’ve been done by now.

On another note, praying for the victims.

Instead of acting shocked lets do something, there is a plausible solution but the NRA and the Republican Party will not act.

I join you in prayer for the victims. You are a good person.

This wouldn’t be classified as a Mass Shooting Willie.  As of now from all the information out there the resource officer (KPD officer) at the school got a tip of a possible man with a gun in the school and when approached about the gun that’s when shots were fired killing one Person and injuring the officer with non life threaten injuries.  They have one other suspect in custody for questioning.

Let hear that plausible solution then Willie?

There has been 4 students in the past couple of months that have been shot in that area of Knoxville by other juveniles. (One was actually leaving school when it happened)  Some of the cases haven’t even been solved because people won’t talk because of fear of violence against them and their family.  Gang Violence isn’t new and no matter what they do about gun control laws or acts doesn’t stop a gang member from getting a gun. (Didn’t stop the juveniles from shooting when you know they aren’t even old enough to own a gun)

Prayers are definitely being sent out to the Austin East community!  Hopefully the City will do more than just throw money at the problem like they have tried in the past

I am extremely saddened by the recent senseless shootings at or near Austin-East but these shootings are not the fault of the NRA nor the Republican Party.

Oh stop it. It's not the NRA or Republican party fault. Instead everyone going around trying defund the police, it's time to crack down on crime. Get tougher on sentencing instead slapping people on the wrist.

We need to take it to the next level and ban all cars too...

https://www.asirt.org/safe-travel/road-safety-facts/

More than 38,000 people die every year in crashes on U.S. roadways. The U.S. traffic fatality rate is 12.4 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants. An additional 4.4 million are injured seriously enough to require medical attention. Road crashes are the leading cause of death in the U.S. for people aged 1-54.

You mean cars that have to be registered, you have to be licensed to operate, and the government keeps a database of who owns each car? I think we could definitely start there with guns.

Yes. All that government oversight and it is still the leading cause of death for people age 1-55. Obviously more government requirements work so let’s add it to guns too.

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
