Maryville made the plays when they had to. Jacob Richmond was huge last night. Offense played well last night. Love to watch Noah Vaughn and Gage Ladue run the football. Alcoa offense is hard to stop. Their big win over Rhea County is looking better each and every game. Great game last night by 2 great football teams. Alcoa will win another 3A championship. No one will have an answer for their passing game.

The difference between Maryville and Alcoa Middle Schools is the Maryville kids are taken home by their parents and all the Alcoa kids drive home in their cars.

I agree. It was a whipping but I remember 20 years ago when Dustin Lindsay and Brandon Warren group had a 45 0 lead at halftime.  They never won against Maryville in High School.

Those of that saw Buckles as a sophomore knew what they were getting when he went to North Murvul.

I knew he had a good arm I just didn't know he's like a bigger version of Potts ! I can't imagine Maryville playing against a better QB than Potts and Buckles .

Its easy when you can throw a pass from underneath the goal post for a first down when it shiuld have been a safety. Lol

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
