We lost 21-20 in 2014 at Boyce Smith the last time we played HC.  A successful two point conversion was called back due to a holding penalty. We missed a 35 or so yard extra point into a wind that was

Thanks for that. I was kinda surprised when I saw Brentwood held Summit to 27. I feel pretty decent this week about getting another W. LET'S GO!!!

With a healthy Wade, Summit hangs 50 on Brentwood easily. This is as evenly matched a game as you will see. I smell overtime.

I don't see anyway HC wins this game. I just think brentwood is the better team, I think HC will hit their stride and figure things out during the long region stretch because they still won't lose to a clarksville team this year but I feel Springfield will beat them by at least 2 scores. This would be the year NE could get them but they just seem poorly coached.

Lol if we keep getting better we can definitely win that game as long as we keep improving. With my statement after the Beech game about Springfield winning the region easily...(they won't win easily, it will be a dog fight) I just don't want HC fans to be in shock though if Springfield does beat us. At the very least Springfield will finally give us a challenge for that top spot in Region 7-5A. Should be a good one.

Lol I know. I'm not too worried about HC.  

I think Brentwood will win this game, but I wouldn't be surprised if HC pulled it out. Totally agree about the Springfield game.

HC will be fine come playoff time. They are always at least in the 3rd round it seems every year.

As a hard core Springfield player/fan/life long follower I disagree. Do we have a good team this year, yes, are we capable of winning the region?; I believe so, BUT, we have not played anyone of any significance to this point and will not up until we play HC. Our fanbase realizes this and we know the HC game will be a dogfight. I really wish our game with Beech was scheduled before the game with you guys. 

As far as the Brentwood game is concerned, just going off what I have heard from the HC fanbase, specifically about the pass defense, I am leaning towards Brentwood simply because we know they are goin go to be able to throw the ball. However, that means very little in the grand scheme of things in 5A...

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
