The Brentwood Bruins come into town to take on the Henry County Patriots. Brentwood put a whooping on Henry County last season beating the Patriots 55-17. This season the Patriots are 1-2 on the season with losses to Summit and Beech and a victory against Kenwood. Brentwood is 0-3 on the season with losses to Blackman, Father Ryan and Summit. Brentwood and Henry County have 1 mutual opponent so far this season in Summit.

Summit - 27 Brentwood - 14

Summit - 50 Henry County 14

I have no idea what to expect in this game. That mutual opponent result is not very encouraging for HC, but hopefully we match up a little better with Brentwood than we did Summit or Beech.

It’s probably gonna be another quiet thread this week. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a Brentwood poster on here.

Good luck Red!!

I see you must be feeling better Red. Maybe after the Kenwood game HC ‘s offense will start to roll up some big numbers. Brentwood will certainly test our secondary I think because they normally have a good QB and receivers.

Henry County definitely started doing some nice things offensively against Kenwood, just need to keep building on that. Defense is still a work in progress but im telling you if that defensive unit can just be average, I like our chances in most games the rest of the regular season.

The common opponent is not so common. Wade pulled a hammy in the 1st half against Brentwood, so I was told. He continued to play, but stayed in the pocket most the night. Brentwood has a senior/but first year starter at QB. He can spin it, but will also turn it over. Defense has to be opportunistic Friday night. Also hope we find our play action game on offense. GBR

Thanks for that. I was kinda surprised when I saw Brentwood held Summit to 27. I feel pretty decent this week about getting another W. LET'S GO!!!

Maybe D Wade was hurt, but he had 18 carries for 142 (only 38 yds passing). Not sure he was hurt too bad as he ran for a TD in the fourth qtr. Brentwood will be VERY good - possibly better than Beech, but they do turn the ball over. 6 TO's last week - 3 ints (by Pierce) and 3 lost fumbles and only lost by 2 scores.

HC must keep getting better both O and D. They must continue to compete

GO BIG RED.
