13sports
Springfield 24-10. Does Portland miss the playoffs if they lose to Springfield and Henry Co based on the Kenwood loss or does it come down to who wins the Kenwood-Northeast Game? Comes down to Kenwood and NE. Portland holds the tie-breaker over NE because of they beat them, Kenwood holds the tie-breaker over Portland because they beat them.
JacketLover
The way I see it, if Portland, Kenwood, and NE end up in a three way tie in the region at 2-3, which assumes Portland loses their last two, KW beats NW and loses to NE and Henry Co beats NE. Kenwood would be 5-5, Portland 4-6, and NE 3-7 overall. Head to head does no good since all three beat each other. I think it goes to the team with the best record then, which would be KW. They would be third and then Portland 4 since they beat NE. Once third place is determined the tie breaker starts all over again which puts Portland at 4. The only way for NE to get in is to win their last two games over Henry County and KW. That would knock Portland out. thefox
I still like Springfield in this one even though Portland beat Station Camp. I've got Springfield +10.

As crazy as it sounds, I don’t think there’s a way for Portland to finish third. They A: either win out and win the region, B: split the next 2 games and finish second no matter who they loose too, or C: loose the next two and finish 4th

JacketLover
Just finished listening to the Portland coach’s radio show. Interesting stuff, including him complimenting the Springfield Coach T posters. He called us knowledgeable. They sounded confident, as well they should. This game won’t be easy, IMO, especially if our offense is inconsistent. One side note is it’s a shame Springfield doesn’t have a local radio station that does coaches shows and broadcasts high school sports anymore. Clarksville has a coach show as well. This will be a tough game. We’ll see how the defense responds. Need the offense to pick it up. I noticed MainStreetPreps picked the Jackets 28-14. Anyone know what yr the Panther RBs are?
BigRed88
I am picking the "upset". I have seen something in Portland that I like. I think if they can put it all together they can win this game. Springfield must play lights out on defense for them to win (and they have at times) Springfield - 21 Portland -

Its no disrespect but it mainly depends on which team shows up. Good luck to both sides.
