Fayettevill and moore co are not in the middle of squat? They are east tennessee teams. Thats just facts

They are East TN teams but have been playing in the west for at least the last 3-5 years. When Mckenzie went down to 1a they took Huntingdons spot in the district.  2 years ago Huntingdon was the #1 and had to go to Huntland. It’s was over a horrible 3 hr drive in the middle of nowhere. I think it was played on a Thursday night. Half the team had motion sickness from the bus ride. It’s less than a hour from S Pitt.

True. Region now has Huntland and Collinwood. That region game is almost a 2 hour drive itself.

Has anybody ever wondered how the defending 1a champs, ended up in the west bracket?? And how the defending 2a champs ended up with a cake walk?? Nobody from the west plays east, but the two or three best teams from east play in west? Think about this folks?? TSSAA home cooking smells like to me?? Just a thought??

Just a thought you are an idiot

mckenzie wins a couple games and you show up… fair weather fan ????

SP played Moore County in the State Championship game in 1999. If Moore had been in the east that year, they wouldn't have got the Silver Ball.   Huntland has been put in districts and regions in the West going back to the beginning of the playoff system.  The exception was that brief period when Huntland, Moore Co & Fayetteville were put in the east.  During the same time period in 2a, Trousdale Co was shifted to the west.  Until the one home-away series with SP - Huntland last year, the 2 had never played in football before even though they are very close to each other in miles.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
