No disrespect to Peabody or Fayetteville, and all have been good, but Mckenzie seems to have been more consistent this year. They don't have the headscratching scores like the other two. No one else in the West will come close to these 3. In the East, of course I'm going to say Gordonsville. But, I think realistically, there's only 3 teams in the East with a chance; Gville, SP, and Clay. Final Answer: Mckenzie vs. Gordonsville I'm just curious; other than the Red Bank game or the Huntingdon game, respectively, what "head scratchers" do Fayetteville and Peabody have? He may be the 2nd best QB in west Tennessee as a 6th grader. Great size, speed and bigtime arm. Martin plays Huntingdon for championship tonight. how did that turn out? You mentioned the Huntingdon game, and Red Bank doesn't fall into the headscratcher category. For Fayetteville, the Cornersville game is a big time head scratcher for me. Clay beat Cornersville soundly while City struggled. I know a team can have an off game, but I feel that Mckenzie has been more consistently dominant. Looked like a different team that played the young Mustangs earlier in the year. Biggest bunch of 11-12 yr olds I've ever seen!

You know Mike I’ve been thinking that the more I look into it! I have a lot of respect for Cloudland and the community deserves it!

Huntingdon was the first game for them and they didn’t know who their starters were. If they play Huntingdon today the game is different. McKenzie also struggled with Dresden they did have a bunch of penalties though but Dresden’s defense was in their back field all night. It was a 2 point game in the 4th quarter Edited November 3, 2021 by Tide21

Archiewho
McKenzie was the second best team in the state last year behind Trenton in 2A…..by a razor thin margin (could have easily went the other way in their Quarterfinal game). With them returning the majority of that team, they are no doubt stronger this year than last and a favorite to get to Chattanooga along with Trenton and Fayetteville
