Always gotta bring up past records. I get it. I really do. The year your team gets beat it’s always luck, catching lightning in a bottle etc. Look I give HC a lot of credit. They’re a good football team but to kick DC and say we aren’t on the level to play with HC is ridiculous. You look at HC like an Alcoa or something. This game could go either way tonight but me and you both know if DC does win you already have an excuse in the back of your mind you’ll write on this board tomorrow as to why y’all came up short and it won’t be because DC was the better team.

I watched the Dyersburg vs Dyer Co game this year. Dyer Co seemed soft like warm butter up front on both sides of the ball. Dominate the trenches and run right at em HC. Best of luck to the Patriots.

Definitely will not be a repeat from 2019. HC is back and rolled big time against Portland. HC wins 49-7! These young men are ready to make a run and will FIRED up to demolish DC on Friday night. 100

However you word it DC still got the W. As far as cussing out 15 year olds or anybody to that fact I don’t support it but you know as well as I do there’s always a few idiots in the bunch on both sides of the football field. See Ole Miss/Tenn game.

I love this shii...two teams that really hate each other. Some may call it a rivalry some say DC has to beat HC more than that one time for it to be any type of rivalry. Either way you look at it, the talking comes to an end tonight at 7:00. In this game, hits will be harder, tempers may even flare, but I can guarantee this is gonna be a show! Strap those helmets on tight tonight boys, we are on a D@MN mission in this game!!!!!! BELIEVE THAT!!

I agree. It doesn’t get better than playoff football to me. Time to put up or shut up. Can’t say that I hate HC but I def respect them and their tradition. First time I came to yalls school/stadium kinda had a college game feel with the tailgating. Looking forward to tonight already. I’ve said it once already but I’ll say it again. Good luck tonight   to both teams. Whoever wins make a run at that gold ball. :cool:

      That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.

      No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me.       It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
