Hey Romans you are a SG fan. Who are the guys in the video? I’m sure you or  somebody you know knows them. I would love to get to ask them why they done it. I know though they wasn’t trying to do the right thing because they don’t start yankin the chain until they see what the result of the play was. There is other videos that the staff have of the guys sneaking and moving the clip that’s hooked on the chains during this fiasco too.

I don’t know who they are.  How do you know someone wasn’t standing on them and that’s why?  I don’t know I wasn’t there and I honestly can’t tell by the video.  I can make an assumption by the video, but I do not want to accuse anybody unless have all the facts.  I’ve ran the chains multiple times before.  They get stepped on more often than not. I’ve even got my self tangled up in them before.  If that’s what the guy was doing I sure don’t support it.  I can relate to similar situations I’ve encountered but I do not want to associate blame the whole crowd and I do not want make assumptions if I don’t know/have the whole truth about the situation.  I’m am a SG, Greeneville fan,  Unaka, Cloudland, Oneida,  WR, Daniel Boone fan and more.  I enjoy HS football.  If that’s truly what happened then why didn’t the tssaa cause them to have to forfeit?

I just think it was a bad look for the school and the football team. I hate it happened and sucks even more that it happened to Oneida. I just try and talk smack and have fun. Like it had been stated nothin that happened 4 years ago will cause the outcome Friday night to be any different. I haven’t fully made my mind up if I am goin Friday night but if I do. I would gladly meet up with you and other SG posters and chat.

I’m as flawed as a man can be but thankfully those flaws were nailed to the same cross Christ was. I agree , enjoy every game. To be honest I thought early this year our season would’ve likely ended at Hampton or SG in round 1. We are a much better team than I thought we would’ve been. We’re not world beaters by any stretch but I do think we are certainly capable of winning this one and if so maybe even the next one. We’re also certainly capable of laying an egg. We could show up and be very hard to handle or turn the ball over multiple times and have a ton of silly penalties and get ran off the field. We’ve done both on more than one occasion already this year. Our game with SG is much like the York game with them. If we get ran off the field by turnovers and stupid penalties I won’t be surprised. If we show up and play a clean game I can see us winning by a couple of scores. Likely be somewhere in between. I’d say another close one this week. Our defense has been a little stingy most weeks.

Puter has you losing by 23 but you guys have been all over the place. Hard to get an average night.

I've seen enough of Romans to tell you he is a fine person. Hope to meet him someday myself.

Yeah, it had Monterey beating us pretty good to I believe.

I’m not putting any of my stock in a puter for any game in this round. By 1 or 14 is a Win.  Based on what I have seen there’s 6 teams that are real close together, and another 3 that are not far behind in 2a this season.  It’s more wide open than most are thinking.  I’ve been blessed to have had the opportunity to watch a lot of 5a, 4a, 3a, & 2a this season either in person or by other means.  2a is more balanced and there’s some good competitors/competition that’s going to make it interesting, entertaining, and some new faces emerging.  Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.

I love some good football jabs! It’s all in fun. I guess I better have fun here cause according to most Friday night won’t be good for Oneida.

I predicted a slobberknocker a couple days ago and I'm still sticking to it :thumb: I'd say this game will be well worth the price of admission.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
