Alcoa played assignment  football well against Rhea Co. .......props to the Master Mind at shutting down the WingT!

Alcoa was/is definitely well coached. It was the first game of the season, too, so they did have a little more time to prepare for it.  - I will say that after the multiple hour weather delay loss to Elizabethton, Rhea has been pretty dialed in on offense.  I find it humorous how a few folks on here don't think that Rhea will score more than 14.  That's why we line them up y'all.  I honestly look for this one to be a really good game.  With that being said, the winner gets to play one more week... LOL!!!

I think if RC has even remotely a shot at this game it might fall on the shoulders of the QB. There are things he can do with both his arm and his feet that he hasn't been called on much to do this year. I guess we will just get on the bus, go and play. I was hoping for two rounds in the playoffs..................anything else would be gravy.      GO EAGLES!!

I've tried to be fair to both teams. Here is my winner of the game,

Powell has more athletes at the skill position. When Potts is rolling they are just about unstoppable.

Rhea County is fun to watch on offense. I try and follow who has the ball but get lost a lot.

Powell has the great DL but sometimes their Defense breaks down.

Rhea is going to have to contain the Panthers QB.

Rhea County wins 41 - 38.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
