Hard to believe only Greenfield or Gleason will be at state. Greenfield playing better ball right now but Gleason has some good victories. Wouldn’t be surprised if all four in 13 A win first round of Region.

Not that hard to believe. Dresden is playing really good and is really young. Probably not where people picked them but West has done a terrific job getting them ready. Bradford is also good, have been super close on wins over Dresden and Gleason. This district was super tough this year.

Dresden with easier route to state than Greenfield or Gleason. They played GC tough early in the year for a while. Dresden is a good team no doubt.

McKenzie may not even get there. Don’t discount Houston Co./Wayne Co./Huntland/Moore Co. I realize Gleason beat Huntland at Christmas but crazy things happen at Christmas tourneys. This time of year you better bring your A game every night, no matter who you are. What does Mahs look like?

I believe we can discount at least 3 of those teams.  Houston Co. can't handle the pressure that McKenzie plays with on defense and I don't see them fairing any better than they did in the regular season or district tournament matchups.  Only 1 of those 3 Region 5 teams will be the runner-up so McKenzie won't face the other 2 so we can rule them out.  Concern for McKenzie are the weak district opponents but Wilkins toughened up their schedule with games against the top teams in the state (Westview, Gibson Co.) in any division so I believe they can handle anything Region 5 brings.

33, she’s a good player but playing D-1 at the SEC level for a 5’4 inch guard will be real tough if she is on the main roster.

Remains to be seen. I seem to remember Vandy signing a little guard from Gleason that nobody thought could cut it in the SEC... Ashley was a standout on the Commadore team that was ranked top 5 in the country for much of her time there.

I not so sure she won’t be on the floor in Knoxville at some point. Their PG play hasn’t been good in a while. She may get out there and make them all look bad in practice.

I wouldn't be surprised if  Houston County made it all the way to the state tournament. They are a very dangerous basketball team.

Dresden will be in championship of The region, I was impressed by Dresden last night.
What if district 13 sweeps the other district  would the region be moved back to UTM?

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
