I was wrong too. Greenfield’s defense looked like it was too much for Gleason to handle a couple of weeks ago. But kinda flip flopped tonight and Gleason had the dominant defense and they hit the money shots.

It looked like the big. Girl from Greenfield was the only one that got off the bus to play in the 1st half. Give Gleason & Stephenson credit!

Alford kept them in the game. Greenfield’s number 20 that hit 5 3’s last meeting I didn’t see her on the floor much. Gleason’s girls were just calm and cool. I was under the basket too and they had that focussed look.

Two good teams. Seemed the refs didn't know it was a region semi. Post play was taken away for Huntland. Bad calls then it was time to even up.

Those refs last night were complete garbage . Both games were complete referring disasters. TSSAA must be proud!

Clay County girls are legit this year once again. After getting beat last year in the semi’s by Loretto they have gotten much better. They will absolutely be in the Glass House once again barring a major slip up. I think Wayne County will be a very tough out as well.

They better not overlook RBS.

RBS has a really good team this year!  They too will be in the Glass House because their substate opponents have zero chance of winning against them or Clay County.

It looks as if RBS will host it’s first ever Sub state game. I wonder if they play it at Macon or home.

What an accomplishment for the girls at RBS and their young coach!  Congratulations!  If Clarkrange can host a substate game RBS should be able to.

I was thinking that the money would be better at Macon. They can actually choose to play at Macon. Celina has played a Sub-state game there before. I want to go myself but won’t be able to.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
