EHS will be around but this season might look a little different than the last 3 I do not have exact stats, but last year one guy had the majority of the yards on offense. At least in the couple of games that I saw. No matter how you slice it that guy will be impossible to replace. I'm sure there are others who will step up but as you say, it may not be the same as the last 3 years. We play you guys on Sept 9, just hoping we keep it close like that last couple of years. Our defense should be pretty stout but the offense is going to struggle.

What’s scarier? Not knowing where the ball will go? Or knowing and STILL not being able to do anything about it? No Rollins, no Roberts, no Gudger, no Galespie. It’s 2022. It’s the next chapter, for everyone. It’s why high school football is the best IMO. Watching young boys become young men and mature into special people is rewarding and entertaining. Our programs have cycled a lot of quality people through their ranks. I’m just excited to see the next generation step up.

College is not much better these days either.

Love the History and you know i'm a Greene Devil through and through. Swipes, my best friend, before he passed, was involved with Greene Devils sports. If you were mid 2000's, did you play with his son Joel Brimer. He is a great guy, his Dad and I played football together at Jeff County. Loved Coach Brimer to death and he was our Freshman Head Coach. I still remember stretching before our first freshman scrimmage and Coach came over to me and hit me in the helmet with his metal whistle and ask “are your ears ringing yet”? Then proceeded to tell me that’s what it’s going to sound like when you lay someone out in the A gap. I graduated with Joel and was the starting MLB my Senior year on the same side Joel was the DE. Still believe if Joel didn’t get hurt in the first quarter of the Quarter Finals game against Sullivan South we would have beaten them again like we did on the regular season. Our biggest defender was myself and our other MLB at 205lbs but we were mean and most of our Dline all wrestled. I’m sure @noonesfool can tell you same great stories about Bill too since he was a former Devil Coach and Vice Principal
BatmanDevil
Some good reading. The good old days were not always the best or smartest thing.I remember hearing a story from a 1950's Greene Devil and one practice that was fitting for the time .It was lightning all around the place and buckets of rain was falling. The Devil coach was tough and acting as if it was a beautiful sunny day. All of a sudden, lightning literally struck the practice field.Without saying a word, coach just pointed and the team ran off the field as coach followed.
