Looks like I was right. Better team won

Absolutely correct!  The better team won. Congratulations. Has to be somewhat of a hollow victory though, knowing you’ve allowed a player to disrespect the program and most importantly the team and the coach is about winning at all costs no matter what.

Tennessee had a LB quit during a game when Pruitt was there and he came back. Hunt I heard was on the sideline at the substate game in Memphis. Different generation of kids. Kids make bad decisions during emotional times and regret it and this day and time they get away with it. Old school coaches wouldn’t let them come back.

It happens more times than people know. It’s just not always publicized like this case was

I agree. Even the great Nick Saban says things are different now. Kids make mistakes. Sounds like the coach might have gained some respect by letting him go and they all came together even the guy they let go and he was let back on the team. JMO. Lots of kids and even adults find out that life will and can go on without them and sometimes they realize that they weren’t bigger than a program or a company.

Why everybody so worried about Peabody and that player! What does it have to do with you and your life? Why you worried about another school and what they do? That’s the problem with people today they are to concern about what the next person doing instead of worrying about their own issues and problems!

A wise post, always seems as if you know some connected Tide folk ! This was a team choice, I myself was to judgmental of the young man, the dad, I stand by my words, the ball players made their minds up and so far it has worked out, Mr Hunt played humble and hard all game !

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
