Alcoa will be a contender.  They return pretty much everyone.  One of their best players injured her knee and did not play most of the year.

No doubt. Alcoa, York, Gatlinburg Pittman, McMinn Central. Westmoreland as well I would bet will be in the mix.

Central loses a lot of players, with 6 seniors out.  Masingale will lead the Chargerettes with some good supporting class.  Gaurd play will be excellent, but they will need to replace that inside presents, and imo that will happen in a couple of years, as their are some younger ones that can feel that role in time with experience, which they did not get at all last year.

We have four seniors that was in the 8 player rotation, 2 of which were starters and 1 one of them being a Miss Basketball Finalist post player. So we have to get to work ourselves. Have some help on the way from Jr. High as well. I told a parent the other day. Got several players kinda neck in neck and time for some to run off and leave the pack.

Saw TSWA posted all/state team with out Katie Burdette on it - what a disgrace

She was deserving to say the least.

Lots of this stuff don’t make sense. She was a beast and very deserving. She was a handful for us. If Cantrelle hadn’t of put the glue to Burlson, y’all would have likely beat us. Burdette held Madison to 9 points that game as well.

I have been 3 trips to Kentucky Lake. We are catching anywhere from 8-12 crappie a day but it is all day and a couple of bass usually. Asian Carp are a big problem. No crappie either and no crappie fisherman.

Alcoa will be strong at every position. The potential is there to go deep in the state next season. All-State Guard Karli Haworth will have a large part to play in this team's success.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
