We already know that whoever makes it from the east loses big to the west team. But maybe someone would like a silver ball.

The west is heavily favored and is loaded but the same thing was said last year and the gold came back east.  You honestly never know until the game is played sometimes the favorite doesn't always win. There is a lot of football to be played until then and I think this came could tell us a lot about the east side of the bracket

Coalfield is an experienced team that should be able to handle a tough environment. Very well coached, very good senior QB, lots of players all over the field. A really good Single A team. I've never seen Gville play but I know they have a good program. Looks like they have played some tougher competition too so that could be a factor as well.  Should be a fun game. I do think the winner might have to be considered a favorite in the East.

Nope.SP is the CLEAR front runner.Neither of those teams have the kind of line it takes to beat Pitt.Cloudland did and just made 1 too many mistakes last year. This will be a good game no doubt!I just have a feeling CF might pull this one out.

South Pitt is the favorite then I'd have to say Gordonsville or Clay then us.

I watched a little video of SP and their line didn't look as impressive this year as it has in the last few years. They had a lot of good looking athletes though.  Who knows maybe none of them was starters.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
