So proud of my cousin. Her grandfather was one of my high school coaches and her grandmother is my 2nd cousin. Yes! Clay County was rooting for Gordonsville.

Since everyone seemed to get off topic about the game. I would like to highlight Gordonsville senior golfer Sophie Linder just won her 4th consecutive Class A Individual State Golf Championship!!

Congratulations to her! She may end up better then Dansby's cousin Happy!

But Gordonsville at home by alot

Gordonsville will win their first round game by as many they want to. Clay and South Pitt should do the same. The only game between regions 3 and 4 that will be in doubt will be Jo Byrns at Whitwell. I think Jo Byrns wins a competitive game.

Incredible considering she had to birdie the last hole to force a playoff, then birdie the playoff hole to win. Unbelievable composure in a high pressure situation.

Dog13, I got us a scramble match set up!!!!  You and Sophie versus me and Happy.  I have to putt with the hockey stick to even things out.  Me and Happy will also shotgun a beer before each hole!!!!

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
