Does the administration still set the homecoming date without input from the coaches?  I know there have been times in the past when that was done.

The administration always wanted to have homecoming in early October so that the classes would have time to elect officers, raise money, and build floats.

SGC is not a team you want to schedule for homecoming.

Haywood by as many as they want, south Gibson is still a great team but don’t think they are the team they were last year and Haywood forsure isn’t the same team there better this year and was dang go

I hope the purple plays like Urkel tonight! 

 

Regardless of the outcome of the game tonight, good luck gentlemen. I hope we have a clean game with no injuries! I will be doing important family stuff tonight so I will not be able to watch. @stacmot is going to hook me up with some score updates. I appreciate it as well.

LOL  I didn't think so! Y'all are to classy for that!! 

Y'all better get there early! Going to be a big crowd tonight and i believe some of the main parking area may be taken due to homecoming tailgaters and such! The atmosphere is going to be exciting!!

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
