2023 1A Mr. Football early predictions.

Mullins is having an amazing season. He is putting up numbers that Jewel Flowers and Stavoski Wilkes put up. However Mullins probably will not be a finalist for Mr. Football because Lake County is not having the season that they normally do record wise. The kid from Moore County will probably win Mr. Football. The kid from Dresden will probably represent our area. To answer the question West Carroll has defeated LC before. LC has won the majority of the matchups. LC will not be down long like someone on here thinks. Every small school goes through down cycle. LC down cycle will not be as long as alot of 1A schools. If LC played the schedule that most 1A schools in the area play they would be 5 and 2 or better but they don't. So the record is what it is. The kid from West Carroll is also having a great year.

Not much if any mention of players from SP. They must be average….hope they can make a good showing if they get a chance.

Question to the Cornpups? What are Big Bens numbers against Forrest, Collinwood and Moore County. These are the only teams with winning records that have played the Cornpups.

South Town you never seem to disappoint when it comes to any subject. 
You’re posts always spot on as usual. Love the horse race. And that’s what it’s become based on regional popularity. Probably 5-8 Kids in 1A statewide that “deserve” it. But it’s normally the Kid who’s Fan Base pushes them to the Top. Throw out stats. Just pick the Kid that’s going to get the Award without causing a Riot at the TSSAA Offices.

I guarantee if Lake County even comes close to beating JCS this coming Friday, then maybe some of those bias gatekeepers will open their eyes to the real MR. FOOTBALL & THE NATION’S LEADING RUSHER because if this was any other student athlete from anywhere besides Lake County, he/she would already have been on ESPN 30/30.The kid has already made history locally & nationally and if TSSAA wants to fill their pockets further then it most definitely should go to Lake County’s #24 Calvin Mullins.
