It's not Green Hill's fault the brackets fell the way they did. They have stepped up and beaten the team that was in front of them when it mattered. Quit pouting and go beat the team in front of you.

That game was simply not very good basketball played by two mediocre teams.  Not taking anything away from either team.  They both did what they needed to do to get there.  Bartlett will win by 20 plus and every team on the bottom of the bracket is 20 points better than them as well.

Never said one word about any player or players. I said the team is extremely weak to make it this far based on the rest of the competition. The athletes that play the game deserve all the credit in the world. Never underestimate the heart of a kid that’s willing to sacrifice like they have to.

I called a Bartlett win because they have the extra day built in. Luck of the draw. Those bottom teams all have to play upper level to get to the finals and are going to be much more strung than Bartlett would be by coasting to the finals. It always always plays a factor in having that extra day

You never know! You have to play the game! Bartlett is very capable of beating anyone in the tournament, just like any other team here is capable of the same! Bad games will happen, but did they win that game?

I never said it would be pretty.   But they know their strengths and weaknesses.   Their coach puts them in a position to win at the end.   It’s not fun to watch but it has been effective.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
