central is running a 2 QB system and from what I’ve heard maryville is doing the same. they are running and up tempo office and have their returning 1800 yard rusher along with 2 good corners and a transfer from catholic that’s used all over the field. looked great against fulton but this is obviously a much bigger step up. I do however believe central will be better than last years 7-5 record but would still lean to maryville winning something like 34-17. this is a great game for the cats since west & powell are in their region. those 18&19 state championships feel like years ago for us in fountain city.

I hope it cools off by Friday night.

Actually that will be the hottest day this week 96. One game I heard was being backed up to 8 because of the heat. Cheers to all the ladies who wear all the makeup and the heavy eyeliner surviving this one. I'm not sure even a tattoo wouldn't melt Friday evening.

As the bobcat fans appear not to visit coacht, let’s assume it will be a good game and find something else to discuss this week.

How about the Soph and Frosh classes? I’ve been to a few practices and have been impressed with the number of solid looking young guys impacting practice. Many of them are going to contribute this year. This particular Senior class has a few difference makers but doesn’t seem as deep to me. With #7 having a few weeks off, it is an opportunity for a lot of guys to expand their roles.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
