This game was intense when the Cougars use to have those tombstones on the hill leading down to the field. That was always intimidating. Now, not so much. Pirates put this one away early.

I will say this though, Pirates need to play under control and clean up the penalties. Let your talents do the talking.

Grider used those “Tombstones” to fire up his team on Thursday before a big CB game  by placing them on Pirates field. One for each of his backfield. Back when people were less serious…lol

Old Pirate ain’t never seen as many Hail Marys attempted as in that Fueding at FC. The Pirates musta encouraged them Rebels too, theys caught on rather quick and started the rock around. Neither one looked good at it neither. The Pirates drop least a half dozen to the house interceptions. Looks like a HEEP to ditch them fancy gloves and mess theys seen on TV, it weren’t wet nor cold either. Figures the Pirates is proving to be skillet heads be fer theys gots a skillet slinger! In other news, many alumni at basin have come together to launch an alumni association. We have never had one at copper basin before as far as I know. Hopefully something like this will help turn the program around and save it from falling off completely!

Muggy, humid, sweaty, sticky hot night.  Everything & everyone was wet, including the gloves.  I saw lots of players ditching theirs.  

We had them beat over the top several times with those hail marys.   Just didn't connect on em.

Yes, we dropped several ints &  a couple of them were clear sailing to the house.

That may be just what the program needs to start heading in the right direction.

While it won't help on the field right now, it can help generate interest in the community and in the school. That's where it can start.

To be a championship program you have to model great programs around. Every powerhouse team has alumni involvement, as well as financial backing. Although that stuff can’t win you ball games, it is definitely a step in right direction.
