Ehh, I don’t see that. I think this year is the most talented team East has had for a loooong time.

Not saying they aren’t talented but also when ER is at Westmoreland tomorrow. Look at how many sophomores are on the field. I know the freshman QB maybe another freshman somewhere @Chiefbigfootcan probably narrow it down better than I can . I just know they are still really young

Penalties can’t be used as an excuse when it’s a recurring problem. 200 penalty yards give or take vs Monterey, 125 against SC, and not sure of the numbers from the other games but the flags have been flying all season. Coach needs to get control of his team. Everytime someone makes a tackle they get up and celebrate like it’s the NFL. It’s just goofy to me. No matter how good you believe you are, you aren’t going to get anywhere being that undisciplined

Forrest vs Cannon County game saw about 30 accepted penalties between the teams for close to 300 yards. Forrest was called for 4 illegal chop blocks in one game. The officials and coaches need to get on same page with some of these calls. The "new" horse collar penalty is another that is applied inconsistently from crew to crew.

Most talented East Rob teams imo were

1. 22’ East Rob…would have boat raced smith co in my opinion. Same athletes but a 10x better o line than this year.

2. 23’ East Rob

3. 19’ East Rob- would have won a lot more games if swift never got injured.

4. 21’ East Rob

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
