Congratulations to the Rebs, and good luck against Beer-den. My Wildcats lost a heartbreaker, as y’all know. Man, one of the toughest losses I’ve experienced as a fan, both football and basketball. But credit to Bearden for making that shot, just really hate that it wasn’t even contested really. Just a really odd sequence there. Oh well, on to baseball season.

Thanks SS. I wish we were playing your Wildcats. I told my buddy when Bearden came out of the time out OR better hope Nordeen doesn’t get the ball he will hit a 3….and boy did he ever.

Were any moms escorted from the gym during this game?

Stings for us WB fans especially.  Easiest path to Murfreesboro in a long time for our region.  And my opinion, it's the 1st and 3rd best teams from our region who will most likely advance.  Good luck to both of them ... and you better watch our for Maryville ... cause as good as they are this year, they get better next year!

Maryville wins 88-57 over Morristown West. Maryville and Alcoa boys are both State Bound. Heritage Girls are State Bound. All 3 teams representing Blount County. Don't know how far Maryville will go in the State Tournament. I do know this. If there is a better sophomore backcourt than Maryville's I want to see them. Braden Hazelbaker scored 29 and Jonathon Woodley scored 17. The Sophomore class is loaded.

Pirates come up short tonight.

Still a good year for us.

We've only played in a state tournament basketball game just once.

Hopefully we can kick that door down and become a regular participant.

Good luck to all the teams heading to the Glass House.

Go Pirates!!
