Alcoa was ahead 21-0 at halftime, and 31-0 after 3 quarters.  Alcoa unloaded the bench at that point and Giles scored on Alcoa's subs. Alcoa's subs also added a touchdown on Giles' starting defense.

This is what I remember!Not close at all.Lol.Moral victories.SMH.

With a monster like alcoa not getting many flags also which nobody will admit its tough to beat a team like that. Both teams have held and I've picked alcoa most times to win it all. Jonny going out kinda slowed things down with that clock, kt is a good player but isn't a pure qb.

I'll add alcoa just has really good trenches and playmakers. If you aren't deep you'll have a hard time beating them.

      Didn't misinterpret any thing. He was throwing our players under the bus saying they werent trying and then made a comment like Westview's jersey was in GC and Union City's head. My comment was that Westview has tons of talent especially with the transfers that have came in. Sure wasn't we choked out with the talent they had last year. I don't know if he is a South Gibson Fan or a Westview Fan but this is a message board and I for one am going to defend my school.

      Correct me if I'm wrong Guru, but I interpreted what you were saying as some Westview opponents having a mental block to overcome because of the name on the uniform.  Much like Duke or Kentucky in Men's college hoops. I do think you're wrong about Gibson Co. being that way. They are Duke's North Carolina. No fear there! Think Pioneer misinterpreted what you were saying and lashed out with the "transfer rhetoric." Anyway back to the present, I believe the parity in the district will be good this year, much like the days when Obion Co. battled those two in district.
