Halls @ Dresden

Recommended Posts

Halls has a bunch of pent-up revenge & pay-back times within they are wanting to take out on our Lions.. on everyone in fact. I'm pulling for Dresden, as always, but IF this is a come-out & come-back moment for Halls, who has had it rough for so long with so many L's, as a perpetual fan of underdog tales, I gotta admit I'm feeling a big GO FOR IT moment for them. Worst to First is always inspirational, especially if it's "your team", but it's still uplifting when anyone does it. Tigers will roll into our Lions Den with a ton of confidence & revenge-motivation, and if Lions get's thing back on track and earns a W, that'll be a huge boost for sure. Lions need this win, fo' rizzle mizzle bo bizzle we do. Going to be interesting for sure!

Going to be an interesting region all year. UC is probably going to win the region, but slots 2-4 are totally up for grabs. Game to game matchups will be vital.

I would agree. UC wins and a dog fight for 2-4. Still I hope Halls ends up with a solid season to give the community something to hang their hat on.

Halls has just as good a shot as any team in the region, imo a very good, maybe even two, football team at the end of the season will be sitting at home come the first week in November. This region has really developed this year overall.

Hevy, off topic but, any info on how Dresden’s jr high is doing? Have they played Greenfield and Hillcrest yet? We meet up in a few weeks and expect us to come in undefeated if all goes right next week with two games left before then. I’d expect a pretty good battle between the two in two weeks.

Halls is playing really good football right now.  Just compare scores (below) against the same opponents from last year to this year.  Halls will scare lots of teams in Region 7 not named Union City, and I'm not so sure they don't scare them for a half.

2023 vs TRA (-42)    2024 vs TRA (+24)     66 point turnaround

2023 vs Rossville (+4)   2024 vs Rossville (+52)    58 point turnaround

2023 vs Greenfield (-27)    2024 vs Greenfield (+41)     68 point turnaround

Halls lost to Dresden by 62 last year and we all know Dresden is a shell of last year's team.  I can see a Halls victory by 3 TDs.
