I will be honest I have not seen the kid from Greeneville play so I really cannot comment on that. What I will say is that between Cobb and Capps there is a clear number one and it is Ty Cobb. Both of these players are very good very deserving. I’m sure the other young man is as well but when you put on the film, especially when they face each other there is a clear number one.

I have to agree. Cobb is the better all around player when it comes to Capps. I have enjoyed watching Capps play over the years. I’ve watched the Thompson kids highlights and he is impressive. It would be a toss up between Cobb and Thompson for me.

I CAN NOT believe that there are NO West TN representatives for classes 1,2 &3. Basketball is the best in the West. Something is off....

I agree all three are deserving.  I think maybe the offers Thompson has will give him the advantage and he would be deserving.  Although Stone did beat Greenville and Capps played great that game.  I don't know how much that matters. Trey would probably get my vote but the other 2 would make a case also. Ty has led upperman to a number 1 ranking in state and is amazing.  Capps literally faces a double/triple team every night so that obviously shows the respect he gets from other coaches. I thought he would win last year.  Either way the votes go- all three are good and deserving

Most of West TN's best players are playing for 4A schools. However, I disagree. Memphis and the surrounding area used to be the best. IMO Middle TN Region has surpassed them. Nashville is the new hot bed for talent. There will be 6 Gold Balls handed out over the next month. Middle TN area gets 3-5 of them.

That game took place on 11/23. On 11/22 Greeneville was put out of the football playoff. 3 starters played football and the 1st 2 off the bench played football as well. It’s a different squad now.

The first month after football season are more like scrimmages for me. It takes time for these football players to get into basketball form.

Totally get that Greenville is wayy better now. I was kinda looking at it like it was thompson vs capps and neither team had a great support staff in that game so it was like 2 great players going at it. I think thompson will win mr basketball this year. If you have that many big time offers , you are a Mr basketball in my opinion.

I don’t know that he will win it, but it’s like playing with 2 different teams. I think all nominees are special.

Absolutely Crow. No 40 second breaks after 6-7 seconds of exertion. I would say Upperman has the same post FB issues in Basketball as Greeneville.

To be the best you have to beat the best.... West Tn will win more gold balls than Middle Tn this year. 1a - Humbolt, 2a - Peabody, 3a - Jackson North Side or South Side, 4a - Bartlett Div 2 - AA - Briarcrest.
