RebelRon, do you think I should reply to the above? No doubt a young person's inexperienced effort to antagonize! Humorous.

bmart, are you to afraid to directly insult rebelraider without getting rebelron's permission and support first? Everyone on here needs to shut up about the trash talk, it's gonna happen, spend last time complainging about what rebelraider has said to "antagonize" maryville's opponents. All of you guys that complain about him, seem to be getting more bothered by RR's post than the people he's harassing. Get over it~ he's gonna do it~

anyway....back to the game, Maryville, if they are focused like they were last week, should win big. Mo West has some size, but Maryville has size and speed. I see the Maryville vets getting revenge from last year's playoff loss, big time. Maryville 35 - Mo West 7, even in the wet. There Rebelraider, a prediction of total domination without being the hind end of a mule.

Aight question for you football guys and for you morristown west people, Who was the idiot that tried to punch #11 for jeff co. last week? Second question: What were you thinking? #1 he's got pads on, #2 you were right in front of jc's bench, #3 the ref was standing right there, and #4 you got thrown out and cost your team 15 more yards, lol. I mean seriously why would you do that then and there? I just don't understand the logic behind punching someone w/ your fist when they have pads on that are suppose to take the blows of tackles and blocks. I guess it's a question that will probably always be asked.

another one? come on.  how many times do i have to tell you people that trash talkers dont care what you think.  ill put a golf star next to your name on the board Redreb.  give it up guys, if people are gonna talk trash, they are gonna talk trash.  but back to the game.  im sure mo-west is thrilled to have the game tomorrow night.  this just gets all the beating and embarassment over with a day earlier, but it doesnt give them a day to walk around their friends at school and know that they blew it.  oh well, over at MHS that gives us a day to walk around and know that we won yet another game, its getting kind of old though, i mean we do it every week.  im still predicting maryville to win by two tds or more, and with the rain i might give it 3 tds because mo-west's defense is that bad.  look for me in the stands, ill be wearing a bathing suit for the rain, carrying my rebel flag if they administration over there isnt ridiculous and wont let us bring them in (heritage) and ill have my helment.  if any one of you fine losers to be have anything to say to me ill gladly take my attention away from the beating to listen to your garbage.  MHS by two tds.

Well well, annual rivarly #2 is finally here. I concur with my esteemed colleagues that it's probably gonna be a 2 TD win for the Rebs. Rain shouldn't make much of a difference. Some may recall us going up there when Brad Merritt and Carl Stewart were still around and thumping West in a deluge of a storm. thumb

Nooneparticular, rebelron, rebelraider, hope to see you at the game. Redreb, stay focused and forget all this minor bantering. The ballgame is what counts. Ya'll be careful driving out west in the rain. Is everyone taking 11E or is there a better way?

I know the path from MW to mariville is now marked by state highway signs reading "the trail of tears for mariville." I'm not sure about the path from mariville to MW.

How long did it take you to find your helmet after that hit? Man, you're brave showing that clip of you getting your block knocked off over and over. Did your counselor tell you it would be good therapy? ;)

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
