I never wore any wrist bands or gloves...never seemed to make me play any different, I always liked the old school receivers like Tim Brown--no gloves, no bands, just a little tape on the fingers and wrists. But if players think it helps, then by all means wear them. However, if the league says its a rule, then you've got to follow the rule. From what i'm reading though, it should strictly enforced everywhere if its a statewide rule, not just places whose referees know the rulebook inside and out.

Iit might be just a Shelby Metro thing.

You are correct, it must be a West TN thing. Marshall County players were told before a game with Crockett County --- Wrist Bands at the wrist and to go along with that -- socks pulled up and under you pants. Everything is different in West TN -- must be the muddy water from the mighty Mississippi affecting what little brain cells that they have !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I see every team with their jersey out on film and in perosn, but when they play us the refs go hardcore about it and take people out of the game for it

Also you can't wear wristbands on your arms which is really weird...

We also had a guy taken out because his doo-rag came out fo the back of his helmet (even though it is being worn to protect his hair) seems a little crazy if you ask me and refs aren't paying attention to the main stuff, like when they gave a guy a TD on a hail mary in our first game yet the guy never when had the ball in his hands as you dove or got up!

i think the tucking in the jersey only applies to players with long jerseys that are below their waists. if you tuck in a jersey that's above your waist, why tuck it in? it's going to be ripped out again. as far as the wristbands go, ive seen players with them on their elbows. i guess its the ref's decision on that rule.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
