While you have to acknowledge the accomplishments of CC this year and admire the continued dominance of DB, I still can't stand all this "What resturant should we eat at", Class Act, butt kissing, back patting that's being posted, it's warranted but it goes on for 9 pages. I can understand a couple of pages but you know when your 2 teams line up Friday the last thing on your mind will be how each others fans feel about you. After the game shake hands and wish each other well but this madness has to stop.

Heaven forbid that two schools get along before a big game. I can understand where the D-B fans are coming from. It is a long trip and I wouldn't want to have to spend time looking for a good eatin establishment when I make the trip to upper East Tennessee. I recomend El Pubs to anybody wanting a good, quick and reasonably priced meal. I look forward to following the Tribe in the playoffs this season. Hopefully we will even get to meet twice.

Hey PatSandman,

I think you will find the same respect was shown to your school before and after your game vs. D-B. And that is not something I will ever apologize for...like good sportsmanship is a bad thing...now, that does not mean I don't want the Indians to kick butt, but I respect the Cougars accomplishments and don't have a problem saying so. As I said in my post on this thread - I want to win - but, I also want to eat at a good restaurant...so, relax, take an overnight to Dollywood...er, uh, Sevier County is probably not a good location after last week, huh?

You know you can always read another thread or start your own, no one was trying to offend you, just talking up our teams and our game.

Point well taken and yes you did give us tremendous respect and I hope that your fans received the same from ours I know the fans around me respect your program. And I had to laugh about the Sevier Co. overnight stay, as Larry the Cable Guy says' "I don't care who you are that was funny".

Hope both teams play well and has a safe trip home.

PatSandman,

Always receive respect from the Jefferson County faithful (before anyone goes crazy over our long lost friend JPATS5 - there are always exceptions to every rule and D-B has some fans that go out-of-bounds, too). Jeff County has great fans with a great tradition and I think a real fine team this year...played us real tough. You are obviously a good, level headed fan and I appreciate your posts...glad you could laugh with me...Good luck this week and the rest of the way.

Hey VolTimes, I checked out that website and added it to my bookmarks for my regular reading.  I read online papers from all over the state to get some scoop.  Thanks for the link, good reading!

I'm glad you added it. I do my best to cover the local scene. I hope that I can keep you informed. I'll do my best for all of my readers to give the best sports coverage around here.

From the neutral corner. Admittedly I may have stirred up on of the DB faithful with a reference to Riverdale High School earlier, so I decided to take a back seat and see how things progressed. And as usual they have rolled right along without me. NOW, I decided to follow the Campbell Co. team well early in the pre-season and CampbellCo.Man84 and VolTimesSportsEditor can attest to that even though I am not one of the Campbell Co. local supporters or alums.

What I am seeing is a pattern of "cougar haters" that invade every topic, thread, or post every week after they have gone "down the tubes" to the up and coming CC team. Obviously some of them are using as high as two or three newly acquired "free guest names" to vent their abuses and frustrations. B)

Like I said earlier the stages of grief for mourners has set in on some folks and they are using this forum to air their feelings instead of the barbershops and local coffee/liars club restuarants. B)

The DB fans have shown a greater quality of "class" than many other opponent fan bases and I appologize to the guy that loves the No.#1 ranking so well that he blasted me. Good luck to both teams and have an injury free competitive game. thumb
