statebound05
I'd like to hear the first regular season match-ups other that Siegel-Columbia and Oakland-Beech. What about the other 6 teams in 7-AAA.
Guest didyouseethatmessDANG
Siegel continues their preseason against Rossview @ Siegel on Tuesday ... Rossview went to the AA State Tournament last year and defeated the Stars in a close game last season ... should be a good one.
baseball47
Is there anyone to challenge their throne in the district? 825549776[/snapback] Riverdale won the 7-AAA District regular season title last season. Oakland won the 7-AAA District tournament with a strong win over Riverdale in the championship game.

letsplay2
Here we go 1) Oakland 2) Riverdale 3) Cookeville 4) Siegle 5) Warren Co 6) Balckman 7) Lebanon 8) White Co. Why? Oakland should have the best offense in the district (Watson, Howard, Patterson,McCleary,Warren, Sorgenfrei and Burnett) with good pitching and a defense that will improve as the season goes along. Riverdale should have the best pitching staff (Underland, Jones, Choat) with a strong defense when Underland does not pitch and a good one when he does and their offense will be good but must replace two four year starters and two of the best clutch hitters in Rutherford Co. history. Cookeville should be an all around good team good pitching and strong behind the plate. Their coach will have them ready to play every night. Siegle is the scariest team in the district. They have added some good pitching to go with Roberts and could push Riverdale for the best staff. Remember a kid named Derek Faust. If he pitches against you believe me you will. If thats your opinion i respect it, but dont be surprised if they finish in the top 4 or 5!!! GO DEVILS!!!
disgustedfan
lhsfan11: I see it just like you. I hope the Cavs are in the running but from what I heard of this past weekend, they may not be as strong as hoped. Or hopefully they were just playing everyone and didn't put their best lineup on the field in any game. The "boro" boys still must be unseated and until someone does they will always be the favorite! cav32
Hey thanks for having faith d'fan. Thought you would be the last one to lose faith in the Cavs.
blue06
I agree with LHSfan11, if Lebanon will hit the ball, then they could be a surprise team this year. Devils All The Way!!!
Slyder
I believe it will be between the Big 3 of Cookeville, Riverdale, and Oakland. I believe that whomever wins this district will have to sweep at least 1 of the 2 (in the big three) and sweep siegel and Warren Co. I do believe that Lebanon will factor into this race. siegel, just will not have enough offense to go the distance. I think Oakland's offense will carry them through. I think their pitching will be adequate and there will be a lot of 13-9 ball games in this district. I do know...it will be exciting and I do not think there are any "givens" on this district schedule anymore.
