I've noticed that alot of the top teams in single A that had to move up are at the top of the poles in AA. It just goes to show the strength that the West has had in A ball the last several years.

Also shows there is not that much difference in 1A and 2A.For many years in the past he 1A team could have easily won 2A with the exception of TREZ!LOL!

I think that NCS and Dresden (the last two 1A champs) would have had a very good chance of beating Trezevant.

Heck, the year before UC goes undefeated beats eventual 2A champ Peabody on the way. 1A has been been real strong the past few years. With teams moving up or to D-II I you'll see 1A take a slight step back as a whole.

I'm just hoping for more entertaining games. With those dominant teams you get a lot of one sided affairs.

Good article. Coalfield has the most starters returning, not counting those coming back from injuries that were starters before. Loaded on both sides of the ball, with depth on the sidelines that can rotate in as well. Some of the best coaching around. Can't see how they are not ranked #1. The run game will be far better than most predict, and the pass can't be stopped unless someone has 4 db's that actually know how to cover, and they will definitely need at least 4.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
