I would have had confidence for a few reasons Gov. Yes we played awful that night but GQ would have reached into his bag of tricks is one reason because WB would be one of those type teams that takes the bate and falls for it every time just like the hook and ladder Maryville pulled on them in that game for a touchdown. During his time at Maryville he would manage to score just before halftime with less than 45 seconds on the clock on 80% of the teams we played while most teams were thinking about halftime would be number two. During that time for about ten straight years we always had a kicker that could nail it from 45 yards out so we didn't need to go all the way. Yep confidence would be the reason I would say that for sure.

I wouldn't have brought up the matter of the cheer on coacht but since it has already been brought up, I will chime in that the use of the " p word" in the cheer crosses the vulgarity line, IMO.

I agree. I don't see anyone stopping Greeneville for a while. I'd honestly rather take my chances with Alcoa than face Greeneville (maybe) for a 2nd time in the playoffs haha

I did not get to attend but did listen to the wb broadcast a while. That guy did a good job and seemed fair enough given who pays him. Other than the whining wb fans (I've heard it for years) and the tasteless cheer from the murvil students (I've heard that for years), how did the game go? Any kids that stood out. It sounded like 81 for murvil finally got a ball or two thrown his way. How bout the other wr's? Or the young freshmen and sophs on both teams? The backup qb's?

I'm not surprised that you don't see the difference between 14-17 yr old kids and someone in an official capacity at your school . I've always tried to take up for WB and wondered what the problem is there .... well if you've got guys in charge walking around whining about a call a ref made 10 years ago , then all you're teaching the kids is how to whine and make excuses . I wouldn't want my kids or grandkids around that negative crap . Maybe that's why WB is losing some great players and I don't blame the Parents at all .

Don't forget Jack Lewis from Arlington if he is at 195 again. He was the Region 8 Runner-Up behind Dawson Johnson (4th Place at TSSAA 195 last year), and he made it to the blood round last year falling just short of getting on the podium.
