  1. There are a ton of teams that could say that. Maybe anyone that has been in Maryville's Conference the last Decade. Are you county Maryville as one team or at least 5 times since they have 5 state championships in the past decade? Lenoir City can say that, Knox West could say that, Catholic could say that, etc. The problem is have you been even remotely competitive in those games is the big question? Do you have a tough conference Yes, Does bragging about being in a tough conference just to get whipped and say you don't run from competition (It's hard to run when you have to play them). Out of conference is why people are giving you a hard time PS I don't think you played 3 state championship teams all in the same year.

  2. I guess we all missed your point? On one hand you continue to discredit #44's speed...yet you've got zero factual information to prove your point. On the other hand, you discredit the team's speed all together. You sure you belong on this OR Wildcat forum? You might consider chatting it up with the Clinton or Wartburg folk? They might value your words of 'wisdumb'.

  3. What on earth does doing good work around town have anything to do with "enough speed to go the distance"?? You kind of write like a former FB player who never saw any playing time....Clinton maybe?

  4. This is from way back, when Chattanooga Central and Oak Ridge got together in the 1950s and 1960s the crowds would hit 10,000. Many of the games had mythical state championships on the line and one year a National Title. Oak Ridge was named 1958 National Champions. A weird thing has happened several times in Oak Ridge recently. The regular season home crowd is good. The Away regular season and Playoff games following is great. The home Playoff crowd is just okay. Hey Oak Ridge fans, did i get that right? Post if you agree/disagree.

  5. Gov I'm always on board until the train crashes. I remember very well in 2014 when Fulton beat Bearden 84-0 and Maryville won 62-0 and then the following week WB travels over to Knoxville and gets beat 14-34 against a team that was 0-9. Other famous crashes was 2016 against Oakland in the playoffs when Shad invited half the team not to make that trip and they took him up on it and get killed 0-63. The very next year in 2017 opening game at Lenior City ended up in a crash or "Up In Smoke"18-34 and they lose their best up and coming player in years over a situation that wasn't handled very well and if that's not enough they took a week off practice and got beat by McMinn County 14-35 for two famous crashes in one season. 2018 they go to 4A Stone Memorial and crashed 0-27 and a few of the survivors ended up down the road at Greenback. It's a new season but in the back of everyone's mind they have to be wondering where the crash will happen this year.

  6. You guys have been the most talented team in 1a for 2 years in a row possibly 3. I hope you guys get it done this year. In my honest opinion I really think it has boiled down to the offense you guys run. The offense needs to be less predictable. The cornersville squad had it figured out and beat you guys with less talent

  7. I will be at the scrimmage against Milan but also wont make the MBA one! Some of the same questions as you! Will be interesting but I dont think we will be disappointed! Cant wait until Friday! I think the defense will be pretty solid and will get even better as the season goes along. O line has always been pretty solid over the last 10 years or longer.

  8. Who’s excited about the scrimmage on Friday against Milan? I’m really interested in seeing the quarterback battle, how the OL preforms, and how we look defensively. I think those are the three biggest question marks going into the season. Thoughts? I will more than likely make this one, but will not make the MBA scrimmage on the 9th. Hopefully someone will and report back.

  9. Yep. I'll still probably bite. Its like debating a flat earther, sometimes it's worth the effort just to see what they say. Lol

  10. After this year is over, I'm going to make it a point over the next two years to see some football in the mid TN area. Those were my stomping grounds for a few years. I'll try to get to Fairview game in 2020 and see the kid play.

  11. Logan Nardozzi RB/OLB Fairview Yellowjackets https://www.hudl.com/profile/9665765/Logan-Nardozzi Feel like he flew under the radar his sophomore season due to having a Mr. Football candidate as a teammate. I think he'll get alot of press this season. He's a burner and will bring it. Hard nose kid that plays the game the right way. Fun to watch. Excited to see his 11th and 12th grade seasons.

  13. Walker Valley 6-4. Are you serious? They have won 1 game in 2 years. If they win 6 games this year Akin is the new Quarles.

  14. I like Wooddale, I don't think it's close either my guy. I think Fayette Ware is right there with SouthSide as well...

  15. Col. Porter would have had a firing squad lined up for any coaches that took an off week in the middle of a season.

  16. It was a VERY SPECIAL DAY in Oak Ridge yesterday. Wildcat Card Blize day fundraiser was held throughout the city and the Wildcats made all kind of positive impressions on the citizens of the Ridge. *** At Wal-Mart...multiple players helped a man who is paralyzed on his right side get out and back into his car after buying new glasses. The man's son posted this act of kindness on Facebook. If the name of the players become known I will let you all know. *** At local Grocery Store...an offensive lineman and QB impressed a man with their politeness and professionalism in their sales pitch. The man went back into the store to get $10 but when he came back out the players were gone. He found them in the parking lot helping load groceries in a car. The players then closed the deal. RWR! The man is new to Oak Ridge and is a photographer. He now wants to attend games, take action shots and see about getting the pics to the team. *** On a city street...players saw a man loading stumps of wood in a pick up truck and took the time to help finish the job. Remember it was hot out there but they had that "WE GOT THIS" Wildcat attitude. I believe these are the jersey numbers of the helpful players, # 77, # 66 and # 25. Man, the team did us all proud yesterday and I bet they will do the same during the season. RWR!

  17. All do respect, I believe you're underestimating Springfield, having said that I understand why, their offensive production will come from mostly unknown players but believe me the talent is there, they will be poised to make another deep run.....

  19. On a selfish note I wish that people in the State of Tennessee could watch Cooper Flynn (McDonogh School) and Cody Chittum (Blair Academy) compete in high school. That would make the kids that had to compete against them so much better.

  20. Oh okay. He probably searching for something, playing time, chance to play on better team or whatever but East may not necessarily be the spot for him either. He would be of bigger need for SouthSide than East but I know it goes, kids and parents get impatient and want it now. I hope it works out for him.
