Belmont is getting a steal in Gillespie! The kid performs best when playing against the toughest competition. He dropped 34 last night against #3 ranked Morristown East, put 35 points up in a win against Dr. Phillips the 14th ranked team in the nation, and had 28 against Amarillo, TX who is ranked 5th in 5a and hasn't lost since the Arby's Classic.

Outside of Webb, could be.

I do like what your relatively new wrestling coach is doing. I think the Indians are on the right track to become a traditional state power.

Probably not lol. I knew Central would be the favorite this year and Meigs, Tellico & Kingston would be close. And I was surprised by Meigs sweeping Kingston and Tellico in the regular season considering that they were rebuilding this year. But I think Meigs has more talent then everyone but Central but inexperience from players & coaches shows some times and you just have to learn from it and move on. I predict that district 3 girls will sweeps district 4. Friday night could be Meigs at Tyner.

A few thoughts before I dive into my individual predictions… The team race will be won by 1 of these 3 teams: Greeneville, Signal Mountain, or Pigeon Forge Don’t buy into the hype of Gibbs after beating Greeneville this weekend at Sectionals. Gibbs likely only has 3 placers (1 finalist). Josh Parton’s health could decide who wins the team title. I heard his injury was pretty serious and he may not even compete. If he is healthy enough to place in the top 3, Pigeon Forge is the team to beat. If you’re thinking, “I’ll just come up Friday for the Semis and Finals on Saturday,” think again! True that any team will have a hard time beating Central at their place, but those girls did not play against GP or Bearden. Catholic game was their first.

2 weeks a season I can watch 2 football games. Seems like a win to me. The week we play Thursday I can also watch a Friday game and on the bye week I can watch a Thursday and Friday game.

Call it what you want, but Westview is better than Loretto. I said before the season that Loretto is the team to beat, but Westview is better than Loretto.

2A-Region 2 is shaping up to be a exciting... even before the District Championships are played. I try not to go too far into the future but I can't help it... check this out: Sweetwater and Meigs will host either Polk or CSAS depending on the results on Tuesday. Tyner and Brainerd will host either McMinn Central or Kingston. Regional Semi-Final at Marion County will be something special.
