I have had the privilege to watch this young man grow up due to him being in the same grade a my son. He is imo one of the best if not the best player pound for pound in the state. He can hit from anywhere and is not afraid to drive to the rim. He is averaging right at 30pts per game and has hit the 40’s several times this year including 41 today against the Tennessee Heat. Pure athlete and should be able to play where he wants. He is small but any college can put him into a strength and conditioning program and get him alittle bigger, but the sky is the limit for this kid and if colleges pass on him they are missing out. Keep playing hard and doing what you do Mali. Go Tornados!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dyersburg is the most talented AAA team in the state, and will be again next year. They can book rooms in Murfreesboro now because no one in their region or substate should stop them from getting there. But state championships are never easy and require some bit of luck along the way. Upperman, Livingston Academy, White Co, Cumberland Co, Creek Wood, David Crockett, and Heritage are all AAA teams that could get challenge Dyersburg in the state tournament

Father Ryan is still the hands down favorite to win DII once they get Tran back. It will be close between them and McCallie because of matchups, but Father Ryan will get their lineup set before too long!

CWJ did an incredible job of building the program. I’m not sure if he would want to come back this way, nor essentially rebuild a program that he built to begin with. I’ve heard some names, CBT being one. While I think you could definitely make a worse higher, I don’t know the level of success he’s shown without Mr. Football caliber players, but if he’s bringing those with him then let’s go! I’ve also heard one sitting head coach in the area, and a county coordinator’s name. I’ve read posts about our administration, my question is, is it our admin or is it just every admin in knox county? Very few of them seem to just be willing to do what it takes for athletics to succeed.

Your on key. McMinn, GP, York and GC all are tough among others. Thing about Gibson County that makes them so tough is their defense is so smothering. They gave up 40 to Bartlett in their win and Bartlett scored 73 on Dyersburg. Gibson County is giving up an average of 30.5 points a game and that includes the 52 points to Creekwood which the refs gave them probably about 30 FT's. I doubt Gibson County will ever go back to that 8 vs 5 place. Biggest home cooking environment I have ever seen. Peabody we played tonight and they can flat out play when they are dialed in. I agree AA is loaded. I do think it will be a great State Tournament this year and I think it will be wide open.

Last year I watched them and Carter play on TV and I'm surprised the coach finally put in the all star basketball player at QB and almost pulled it off. How could a coach not know he had a better second string QB. It was like night and day difference. I would do what ever it took to get Stevens back there.

TSSAA doesn’t want the transfer rule however Gov. Lee and his cronies are calling for it with his terrible voucher program.

Maryville's district is one of the best in the state. William Blount,Bearden,West,Farragut and Hardin Valley are tough teams.

Seen that Oak Ridge and Maryville are both in the Arby's this year. Hopefully D-B will get to play one or both sometime during the tournament. Excited to see the Cats and Rebels.
