  1. I love watching Bearden people on here complaining about recruiting when they have the scummiest rrecruiting coach in the state. Maryville has always gotten the players they want and I guess ole Jones thought he could swindle a few good years recruiting players and then playing in public school. But karma is a _____________ ole Jonesy

  2. Congratulations to all of these Tennessee high school Alumni for having a great college season and for competing at nationals. NAIA Anthony Pyron - Cumberland TN - (National Qualifier) Sammy Shires - Cumberland TN - (All American) Eli Clemmons - Cumberland TN - (National Qualifier) Thomas Williams - Saint Thomas FL - (National Qualifier) Tre Morrisette - Life GA - (National Qualifier) D3 Dejon Glaster - Millikin IL - (All American) NCWA Dominic Love - Florida A&M - (All American) If there are any more wrestlers that I missed please share that on here. I've seen that NJCAA had a qualifier from TN but I couldn't find that individual, and I didn't see any qualifiers at division II. Besides that congratulations to these wrestlers for a great season.

  3. Do think another thing that has not been mentioned is Loretto, Gibson County, Summertown, Huntingdon and Westview all have been in the same bracket until this year. Loretto, Gibson County, Westview and Summertown have 5 Golds and 4 Silvers in the last 5 or so years. Could be that Loretto is a pretty good basketball program the reason they beat Gatlinburg Pittman. Do think all of the programs I mentioned aren't going anywhere any time in the next couple of years either. York, McMinn Central and Gatlinburg Pittman are great programs too. Do think all of the programs I have mentioned can beat each other on a given day. I watched the Loretto Game live and thoroughly the same night after and Gatlinburg got outplayed especially in the second half. Weathers was attacking the rim big time. She put on a show.

  7. What’s actually really funny is that Maryville fans have been denying the fact that they recruit for years. youth programs, middle schools, and even high school sometimes. But now it’s funny to see them hide in the shadows and come up with every excuse possible. That’s the funny part. As someone who had kids who played football zoned for William Blunt, and playing youth football, taking my kids to football games, I’ve seen what Maryville does with every single player from that team and parents. This team the other team etc, and what? Nobody talks about it, or perhaps it’s just common to have coaches on a high school football team come up to you and talk to you about your six-year-old child “having a better future.” Now let me make this very clear. I don't have a problem with kids transferring. I think if the parents allow it and the player wants to do it, go ahead, but the fact that the fans on this website try to act like their high school is just so needy and clean. And he never recruits when that gets blown up; they just hide in the shadows to try to come up with any excuse; we’re just laughing it off as just a simple move. That’s the funny part.

  9. MTSU is DEFINITELY not handicap accessible. Older people and handicap really struggle trying to attend games. Definitely time to renovate and add parking.

  10. Yeah, I just looked at Stone's roster and didn't realize that Stone Memorial lost all of their core players, except for Capps. That will definitely make it harder. I already was gonna give the edge to Upperman, but now knowing this, I would think you have to give a CLEAR edge to Upperman in that district (let alone region). Do we know anything about Regions 1 - 3? Greeneville appears to have a really good Sophomore in Trey Thompson, but I don't know much about the rest of the team.

  11. for those that have been on the upper east tennessee side of the state, this is normal for GP in every sport. GP has never lost a fair game, they have only been cheated. They schedule the worst possible teams year in and year out and beat them easily and cry foul when they have to play someone good. It has been the same song and dance for as long as I can remember. They recruited most of those girls and still could not win the big games. Just goes to show you it doesnot matter how good a public school recruits if the coach chokes in big games.

  12. I also have South Side returning to the state tournament next season. Their district will be down. Chester graduates a lot and I don't think anybody in their region can beat them so they should be fine in a sectional game vs Region 5.

  13. This happens all the time. Just pisses the football folks right off. Some jerk off goes out there with a hand held can of field paint and walks around wingin' it like Otis Campbell, all willy nilly. I hope this idiot gets at the very least a good talkin' to.

  14. Upperman will be tough for a while. I'd almost pencil them in , barring crazy injuries of course, for the glass house next year. Capps and Stone Memorial could certainly break through. I don't know if he has enough around him or not. Time will tell.

  16. l don't think you can claim the Jones boys are part of a BHS pipeline. Dad played at BHS and you all have always said the boys were not doubt, always were, and totally Maryville kids. I really don't know if the Smith boy is a Bearden kid. I think he is the next best thing up kid. Dad has shopped him around to multiple schools since he started. Catholic used to be the best thing, then it was BHS, and now Maryville is the next best thing. Who knows what is next. Have you ever listened or talked to the dad, he is all over the place. But kind of figured BHS Coach Jones and his style of coaching and the way dad talks on the radio and to groups that they were going in two totally different directions. l really don"t think the dad knew what he was getting into when he sent his son to play for Coach Jones and the rest of that coaching staff.

  20. Agree with all that... AND all levels of college ball is outstanding. Nothing like a Juco that develops kids!!! love NAIA ball. It is ultra competitive. D3 and D2 has all my love. But my point is Tennessee don't have a ton of D1 basketball players. Zero in the class of 2024 in the top 100. Zero in the class of 2025 top 60. So, lets not blame 4 classes of watering down the games... We just don't have that caliber of player. With that being said, lets celebrate the kids that are working their rear end off and making it to the state tournament instead of always talking about watered down this, watered down that. It is not the classifications. It is the lack of high level talent.

  21. Geographically Murfreesboro is the right place for all championships. The biggest issue is the venue. ITS TIME FOR SOME RENOVATIONS!!!! The place hasn’t been updated since I was in grade school. I’m in my 50’s now. Walking in with my dad up those stairs is a struggle for him.

  22. LOL!! It’s obvious you have no clue the state of our program before Matt came in. He brought in discipline, work ethic, toughness and a fantastic weight program. There is zero percent chance that Westview wins that state championship if Matt doesn’t come in and totally change the culture. That’s the exact reason he was brought back. We have probably the most talented skill guys than any other team in West Tenn. And as far as the defense goes we have 8 starters returning to a team that only game up 17 points a game. We are absolutely thinking Chattanooga the next 3 years.

  23. The real question is why is he leaving Bearden? To me Bearden is going to continue to get players in to improve them. I know that the dad was the unofficial OL coach from some time in the middle of the season to the end. Eventually the crick neck experiment will blow up, it's just a matter of time. I wonder if this is the first domino to fall. When I first saw the article put out by 5star I thought it would be Alcoa. Since it was in the same region I feel like this is a personal blow to their former school. Maybe I am looking too deep into it, or maybe I'm not.
