The question that Crawford will need to answer is where the better long-term opportunity to win is at. Additionally, I think he will need to weigh the coaching environment in Williamson County vs Rutherford County.

One of the things I've learned from all the chaos this year is that all coaching vacancies are not created equal. The school board and the community have to be firmly committed to winning and willing to give the program the support they need.

These coaches have a lot of research to do before deciding whether to apply for, or accept, one of these openings.

I think both Wells and Campbell have both applied for the job. Both are on staff. If I am not mistaken, Campbell is the OC and has been a HC before. Wells has not been a HC before, but was the DC for Smyrna for many yrs. I think they are running spring practice , which started today.

Could get ugly with both of them trying to get the job. How is spring practice going so far with two chiefs. Maybe school will go outside and hire and try to keep both of them with a new coach. Who knows?

Coach Campbell used to be the HC for Warren County. I don't know for sure, but I am guessing that Coach Wells came to Blackman because he was expecting to be the HC soon. Whoever gets the job, I just hope they can get Blackman back to the playoffs and beyond.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
