Region 2-5A....interesting!

Soddy or WB is going to be sitting at home and that's all there is to it. Both will lose to OR. OR, Farragut, and Ootlewah 1,2,3. In what order, who knows. for all these teams, it is playoff time starting tonite.

In my opinion McMInn will beat Soddy, WB then Heritage and Bradley and finish # 4 in the region behind region champ. OR then Ooltewah and Farragut. This is the come back story of the year starting 1-5 and then ending 5-5 with only 3 seniors starting. GO TRIBE!!!

Now, taking my previous post concerning Region 2-5A I'll reveal what should (or could) happen in Region 1-5A

 

Final Standings--

1) Dobyns-Bennett (9,1,6-0) Wins at Sevier Co., at Karns and vs. Campbell Co. and Science Hill.

2) Sevier Co. (8-2, 5-1) Loses vs. Dobyns-Bennett, wins vs. Jefferson Co. and wins at Bearden.

3) Bearden (4-6,3-3) Wins vs. Campbell Co. and loses vs. Sevier Co. and at Jefferson Co.

4) Science Hill (7-3, 3-3) Wins vs Jefferson Co. at Campbell Co., vs. Karns and loses at Dobyns-Bennett

 

**Note** Bearden gets 3rd because of win over Science Hill.

 

Therefore, the playoffs should be as follows

 

Week 1--

Science Hill (7-3) at Oak Ridge (10-0)--Oak Ridge wins

Bearden (4-6) at Farragut (8-2)--Farragut wins

Wm. Blount (6-4) at Sevier Co. (8-2)--Sevier Co. wins

Ooltewah (7-3) at Dobyns-Bennett (9-1)---DB wins

 

Week 2--

Oak Ridge (11-0) vs. Sevier Co. (9-2)--Oak Ridge wins

Dobyns-Bennett (10-1) vs. Farragut (9-2)--DB wins

 

Week 3--

Oak Ridge (12-0) vs. Dobyns-Bennett (11-1)--Oak Ridge wins

 

Week 4--

Oak Ridge (13-0) vs. Riverdale (13-0) --Riverdale wins

 

Week 5-- State Championship

 

Riverdale (14-0) vs Houston (14-0)--Houston wins

We will know more next week. Soddy is in trouble. I am not sure they can rebound from tonights loss. Farragut, Oak Ridge and Ooltewah will be 1, 2, and 3. Not necessarily in that order. I actually like the Owls next week against Farragut. McMinn could sneak in if they can beat William Blount and win out. Heritage and Bradley should not be a problem from what I have heard and seen. What a turn around for them. I think this region will win at least three out of four in the first round against Region 1. If Blount makes it maybe 4 out of four.

If McMinn wins out they could make the 4th seed. Region 2 5A has six teams going down to the wire for a playoff spot. these last few weeks there is a lot on the line.
