Maryville and 5A

Maryville is like the AAU programs who get fake birth certificates so the older kids can play on the younger team.

 

Why don't they move up and play in the right classification ?

 

Sure they dominate at the 4A level but why not see if you are as good as you say you are and make the move? Your coaches and AD will tell you its because the TSSAA mandates where they play and yada yada ya.......

 

They have had an opportunity for several years to petition the state and move up but have never chosen to. They (The Maryville administration)are cowards who are afraid that this so called "Dynasty" may fall apart and that the entire coaching staff would dismantle once they became 5A mediocrity.

 

The Maryville pretenders can and will continue to live in their Dyansty wonderland.

 

By the way....do those state championship rings have an astrick on them to let everyone know that you play in the wrong division ?

 

 

All the Maryville folks can say is "your stupid"..."your jealous"..."your an idioit"......but if you notice....not one of them ever answers the questions.

They run like the scared dogs they are and hide behind smoke and mirors.

Goo goo cluster good point about maryville and dynasty.O r has another kind of dynasty.It is spelled die/nasty.Thats what you call a dynasty with one championship in 25 years.

coachtjunkie was running his gator a few years ago saying that morristown west was the new sherrif in 4a. coachtjunkie is a halls fan. halls is terrible. coachtjunkie hates maryville because maryville lays the wood to his team. just remember coachtjunkie. maryville is a machine and a dynasty. maryville has won 83 out of their last 85 games. george quarles is the mastermind. he is a genius. what coachtjunkie,newman,cochese,billmorgan,cartman,snagglepus and vitavol need to remember is it is their birthright for their team to be owned by maryville. all alcoa,central,powell,halls,william blount and heritage fans need to remember it is their birthright to be owned by maryville. coachtjunkie is real good buddies with the halls midget.

No fact in your assertion just your basic ignorant insults rooted in jealously.

 

The TSSAA has a board of control and they look at the enrollment numbers at reoccurring intervals. Maryville plays in the approved classification like every other school in the state, unless a school requests a move up for cause. Most of the time a school will move up mainly because of travel costs. It cost money to take a team on the road for a three hour ride for a game and in some cases it does not pass any common sense test. Teams that make deep runs into the play-offs get part of the gate to defray costs. I guess your team has not had to travel much during the play-offs?

 

Maryville dominates 4A because every year a new group of kids buy into a proven, tried and true coaching displine methodology, and work hard in the process to be successful. Every team that faces Maryville “Thinks” they can win. Maryville “Knows” they are gonna win. There is a major difference there in resolve. The mindset of a 16, 17 & 18 year olds are a fickle thing but mostly very much alike. Maryville’s coaching staff takes many average HS players and motivates them to step it up and play bigger than they are, and if they don’t there is another kid ready to show what he can do regardless of class age. The Rebel players respect the other team, but thrive upon being disrespected by teams and players who are “Rated” higher than they are. In the past 8 years Maryville has faced many D1 prospects and have held everyone of them to a dismal performance and in HS ball most teams focus on only three to four key play makers. Think Melrose was worried about Shiver throwing a TD pass on them during the state game when the kid did not take a snap all of last year? Maryville’s coaches trust and expect every kid on the field to make a play when and if their number is called.

 

Your last rant is just too ignorant to warrant comment. You are full of jealousy and hate for a group of kids who play a game better than others do. Calling someone a coward is brave when you are hiding behind multiple screen names. Besides why should Maryville Petition the state to enter 5A? With teams like Knox Central, Powell, Halls, Knox west, Cleveland, Rhea Co, Morristown West, Chatt Central and others not named in your path to every year to Murfreesboro, Maryville has had no cake walk achieving the success they have enjoyed the past 8 years and it does not matter if an idiot like yourself thinks they are cheating, because the factual records speak for themselves. An asterisk is needed to denote the school with most State Championships in Tennessee history.

 

If and when Maryvile changes classification to 5A, you can be sure the Rebels will step up to the task with the same resolve and work ethic that has made every player that has worn or wears the red and black a champion. Something you will no doubt never enjoy or be able to grasp.

 

By the way your a real Loser if you need another team to fail for your team to have success.

Actually Maryville has the third most state championships in Tennessee history. They probably do have the most of any team with an open enrollment though.
