Lets See...you were the last post on the original thread indicating that we need to get back to the game. You were the one who started the new thread..the real talk. If you didn't close it, then who did? Did we have divine intervention from The REAL MR. COACHT?

 

I don't know who closed but i'm sure glad they did. This is high school football- it is serious! If you want to be funny go to the be funny boards not the football boards!

...Just a heads-up, if you're trying to be sarcastic here, it's presented in a way that is hard to pick up. If you are, in fact, serious, you should look into being sarcastic.

Do not even act as if you are alone on that sinking boat now BombSquad because I have been warned about a million times for things that I've said on here in the past by several people ranging from the mods to CoachT himself YET someone got on here this evening and called me "a coward" and there was nothing said about the incident (despite complaints to the mods through post reportings as well as threads that I started concerning the incident as well). I guarantee you that if I got on here and started calling other posters "cowards" then I'd be kicked off of the website yet again and would have to go into semi-retirement for a period of 3-4 months yet again :justwrestle:

Politics play a role in it and there are the perrenial "favorites" on here despite what anyone would argue to you. With that in mind all you can do is make the best out of it and be both respectful and studious while making your posts because OTHERWISE the next time you post could be under a different username ;)

 

David Lipscomb wins a closer one than the first time around over a Giles Co. team that if they do pull the "upset" should be considered the "favorites" in the bottom half of the bracket to go to Murfreesboro. Why???? Because then Giles would hold wins over both Jackson South Side & David Lipscomb :justwrestle:

This game would be a good one to watch. I do believe the Mustangs will come out on top by a small margin, however, my heart wouldn't be broken to see Giles get a little glory for their hard-run season.

As I prepare to head out and assume my Purple Shoe Gang duties, this will be my last post of this thread. Going into tonight's game -- the winner will advance to play in the state semi-final game. For those who thought that Region 5 was down this year was incorrect. Everybody just beat up on each other. I believe that Region 5 will be well represented. Good Luck to both teams. I personally hope the Mustangs will be traveling to West TN next week to play the winner of the Dyersburg/Covington Game.

      Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.

      It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
