Pasture, let's not post individual's negative stats on here.

Pasture was just stating the facts in an honest assessment and not a derogatory manner. I thinks its safe to say he is one of Temples staunchest suporters on here and not just a fair weather fan.

Now if that misguided loyalty were placed some where worthy like say SP then . . . . just kidding Pasture.

This is unquestionably a rebuilding year for Temple but, unlike Silverdale, Grace, David Brainerd, etc., these Temple kids know what it is like to be on top and will be again because they have the heart to persevere. Watch and see if Temple does not continue to improve over the course of the season. Silverdale and David Brainerd will both be surprised.

I have doubts over the kids perseverence but that is neither here nor there.

I will agree with you that they will improve but it isn't hard to improve or exceed expectations when most people on coachT were suprised they would have a team at all.

Temple may jump up and suprise David Brainerd and possibly one other team on the schedule, If they somehow beat Silverdale it won't be by suprise considering silverdale doesn't like temple and would love to beat them to death, it would only prove that Silverdale cannot recruit as good as Temple.

Smack, whack, ouch, ouch. Thats what I was talking about on the Xed thread. You get told to be nice every year by someone at Temple. You must have been the rebel child at Temple. You definately must not live up to their standards.

It saddens me to see the tribulations that these young players and parents are having to go through as Temple strives to move forward and forget the past. I understand the ramifications of having to cancel games. However, if it means the safety of these young men, shouldn't Temple have thought about either canceling the schedule this year or playing a JV schedule this year? I will be honest...I fear for the safety of these young men when they play the likes of South Pittsburg and Lookout Valley. These young men are in grave danger playing against these two teams. Temple should have known what they were getting into four years ago when they started football, and yes the gentleman earlier that stated Temple did the right thing to Start a program playing only a JV schedule was correct. HOWEVER, Temple did well starting a TEAM but has done a horrible job starting a program. It is one thing to start a team, it is an entire different matter when it come to sustaining a program. Yes, they have a Region title, but at what cost? Is the cost of a Region Title worth getting a bunch of young men hurt this year due to the ignorance of the past administration and coaches? I am pleading with the Temple administration, do WHAT is in the best interest of these young men and do not risk their future for saying you have a team.

I am quite new to this forum, and you seem to have a lot of respect what you write, kinda like the old commerical "when EF Hutton speaks, people listen". However, in this case, you may not be exactly correct. The public schools that have to travel a distance for an early game came to a joint decision to play on Saturday. I can ensure you that DB has no desire or reason to play on a Saturday other than what I have stated. Hopefully, one day soon, they will have lights and can play at a normal time like other schools. It's just not the same as playing on "Friday nights under the lights"....

I can assure you it was not a joint decision in this case. SP wants to play on Friday even if it's a 5 PM game. Maybe it will get worked out before game day.

Yes, it was an honest assessment. But it's hard enough to bounce back from a bad game, and to read about it on the internet isn't going to help. Temple's QB is tough as nails and probably won't be bothered by someone posting his bad stats, but for some kids it might be demoralizing. I just think we need to be careful.

True but I just don't look at what he posted as bashing or anything. My son is a freshman QB and if he had a game like that I wouldn't have a problem with what was posted. If he is going to be Temples starting QB he had better be tough and thick skinned because it will be a long tough season. I glad my son has a chance to make his freshman mistakes in JV and mop up duty

Yea I am pretty sure that Coach's beard and skogan already tried to cancel the season after last in order to "rebuild" b/c temple has no field, no goal posts, no money, and now no kids...that is the reason beard and skogan said they left because the administration wouldn't listen to them....geez haven't you been reading the paper....

of course that article came out during last years season....

and yes temple will get drilled by everyone- inclduing GRACE!!!

Every sport? You guys must have recruited some serious basketball players over the summer.

uh not really we just have everyone back- and you have nobody back - you lost skogen (almost the whole team right there) and the pg- as well as your big men- yo have two little guards back and no one else...plus a new coach and that never goes well in the first year....so yea we will beat you in every game every sport (guys that is)...no actually girls too!! HAHA clean sweep!!!

If Red Boiling Springs can play FCS, Gordonsville and Trousdale each year without anyone dying or getting seriously hurt, i think the young men will survive with the only scars being emotional and mental.

Exactly the point!!! Red Boiling Springs has had a program for DECADES!!!! They know what they are into and those young men know what to expect because they have played those teams for YEARS!!!! Temple has NOT!!! Temple players, coaches, and administrators are way over there head. Have you ever been to a Temple game? Did you see how pitiful Temple looked against St. Andrews? Temple was man handled by ST. ANDREWS!!!!!!!!! I am telling you, the young men at Temple are in danger. Plus, you named three schools that beat you on offense and finesse. Lookout Valley and South Pittsburg beats you by POUNDING the ball offensively and defensively.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
